The annual Pemberton Heights Canada Day Parade and Picnic is July 1st at Sowden Park in Pemberton Heights, and we’re planning for another memorable event! This is a hugely popular annual community celebration, with friends, family and neighbours from Pemberton Heights and beyond in attendance. Residents and non-residents alike are welcome, so please bring your family, friends and neighbours to celebrate Canada’s birthday.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
10:45 AM : Parade Departs Pemberton Heights Community Hall The parade leaves from the Pemberton Heights Community Hall heading for Sowden Park. Everyone is welcome to join, so please wear your best red and white and your running shoes, and decorate your bike, scooter, skateboard or trike.
11:00 AM: Picnic at Sowden Park Bring your own picnic or buy your lunch at the park! Bouncy castles, dunk tank, BBQ, face painting, snow cones and some great socializing with friends and neighbours.Please be environmentally responsible. Pick up your litter and minimize plastic waste by bringing your own refillable water bottle. There are free fresh water refill taps available at the park.
12:00 PM: Races Start Enjoy sack races, tug-of-war, wheelbarrow races and other fun for all ages!
4:30 PM: Event Ends Bouncy castles, dunk tank, BBQ, face painting, snow cones and some great socializing with friends and neighbours.
